ARO WRITING AWARDS
The Aro Writing Awards celebrate works the aro community loves and provides a space for the aro community to share, read, and discuss the works they love.
Nominate any free online work that involves words and is relevant to the aro community. Judges will select a shortlist. Community voting will select the winners. Timeline TBD.
TIME LINE
The initial timeline would have announced the winners during Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week February 2021.
In order to give sufficient time to recruit diverse judges and seek out diverse writing, setting a date will be delayed until the commitment to inclusion (below) has been met.

TO INCLUSION
We are commited to including aro intersections with marginalized identities and experiences as well as the wide range of aro experiences at all stages of the award process.
We do this by promoting the nominations, category selection, and community voting in many online spaces and asking for help promoting the event in spaces we may not be aware of or have access to. We do this by seeking out judges whose experience or identity is not significantly represented in the judging pool. We do this by seeking out works by and/or about aro intersections or under represented aro experiences.
